Lucknow: A two-day Scuba Diving Camp for NCC cadets of NCC Units under NCC Group Headquarters, Lucknow, commenced today at Capt. Manoj Pandey Swimming Pool, 11 GR, Lucknow Cantt. The camp will be conducted from 19 to 20 August 2025.
The camp was inaugurated by Maj Gen Vikram Kumar, Additional Director General, NCC Directorate (Uttar Pradesh) on 19 August 2025.
The event has been organised by 3 UP Naval Unit NCC, commanded by Commander Gaurav Shukla.

The primary aim of the camp is to provide cadets with exposure to adventure activities and to instill water confidence, discipline, and essential life skills. A total of 100 cadets from various schools and colleges of Lucknow are participating in the camp.

The cadets are being trained in the practical use of two types of compressed air underwater breathing apparatus and snorkeling techniques. The training is being conducted under the expert guidance of Retired Commander Sumit Ghosh, Vice President – SDFI & Rajiv Sardana (Indian Navy), Renowned mountaineer, skydiver, and scuba diver Ms. Archana Sardana, and their experienced team.
The camp has generated great enthusiasm among the cadets and is expected to motivate them towards adventure sports, leadership, and character-building.
